The Expedition Education Institute offers higher education for the leaders, educators, and change agents of today and the future who will engage in lifelong learning, cross-cultural communication, environmental stewardship, social justice, and responsible global citizenship. Experiential and holistic education within supportive learning communities intimate with the natural world furnishes the foundation for transformative learning. The expedition’s overarching goal is to create opportunities for profound connections with the self, others/community, and the earth.

The expedition model of education has been a leader in transformative experiential teaching and learning for over 40 years beginning with the Trailside Country School, evolving into the Audubon Expedition Institute in partnership with Lesley University, and now re-emerging as the Expedition Education Institute at the non-profit EcoEducation Initiatives.
