Help me sponsor low income youth to experience "College for a Day".
You all know that the month of March is my birthday and I'm lucky enough to have friends and family that help me celebrate all month long. I would really like to give back so I'm supporting an organization called Reach for Potential. They are having a “March Goodness” Campaign to help under-resourced youth to discover College is a possibility! Reach Potential’s Dream 4 College Project provides a clear vision to low income fifth and sixth grade students of what their future can look like by empowering them to experience “College for a Day” at nearby Stanford.
With 25% of public school students not graduating in California and close to 40% of African-American and Latino students not graduating in Santa Clara County, Reach Potential is partnering with three low-income Mountain View schools to inspire 200 youth to “dream for college,” but they need our help to sponsor 200 students so that they may receive a...
1. Field trip to experience “College for a Day” at Stanford
2. College T-shirt from their sponsor’s alma mater to foster a college-going identity
3. Help on their College Exploration Research Project
4. Parent Program on the Stanford trip for 1st Generation-to-College families
If you’d like…designate your alma mater or any college in the “in Honor of” field and we’ll purchase a T-shirt in honor of the college you indicate.
SUGGESTED DONATION AMOUNTS:
$10 can provide a youth a College T-shirt to encourage a college going identity
$20 can provide a youth with a College for the Day experience
$35 can provide a youth a FULL sponsorship to participate in our Dream4College Project
