Would you like to help prevent homelessness? Would you like to provide food for our community’s hungry children? You can be part of the solution: A gift of $10 helps provide a food bag for a homeless young person, $25 provides appropriate clothing so that a homeless young adult can interview for a job, $100 helps pay a GED test fee for a youth who needs to complete their education to become employed, $500 pays a month’s rent for a homeless young parent, $1,000 helps provide milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, and other healthy foods for the 300 youth who come through our youth crisis shelter each year.
We provide a comprehensive safety net of services to strengthen youth, preserve families, and help support successful transitions to adulthood. We provide emergency food and shelter, mentoring, independent living skills training, counseling and transitional housing to our community’s most vulnerable children, youth and families. Each year, more than 2,500 children, teens, young adults, and families come through our doors.
We currently deliver services through three program sites in Bemidji, MN that draw youth from many surrounding rural counties and the State’s three largest American Indian Reservations.
