endPoverty.org helps poor families in the developing world free themselves from poverty.
As many of you already know, our dear friends Jerry and David will be leaving us this summer and we can't think of a better way to honor their friendship than by raising money for a cause near and dear to their hearts.
EndPoverty is a microfinance organization based in Bethesda, Md. that lends money and assistance to the poor in developing countries around the world. Since 1985, endPoverty has provided technical and financial support to more than 37 programs in some 50 countries and equipped more than 200,000 families to lift themselves out of poverty. Each of their partners provide small loans to help hard-working poor families start and grow their own businesses; offer business training and technical assistance to their borrowers; and build networks of community support and serve as mentors to their borrowers and their families.
In lieu of gifts, drinks, and the like, we'd like to ask you to donate just $10 (or more) to endPoverty so that we can reach our goal of raising $580. We're planning on surprising Jerry and David with this fundraising page along with a card listing the names of every donor (unless you prefer to remain anonymous). You'll have until June 3rd to give.
