COPS is a national organization that provides support to survivors of law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

I will be walking 25 miles over two days this fall in honor of my father, Officer Craig A Nollmeyer of the Tacoma Police Department. My father was killed in the line of duty January 24 1985 as he responded to a domestic violence incident in Tacoma's north end.

I was four years old when my father died, and I only have a few memories of him. This is the first year that I have really been involved with COPS. I was able to attend National Police Week as well as the Adult Children's retreat this year. At both of these events, I was able to meet other survivors and receive immeasurable support and comfort. Both of these events as well as other COPS activities are free for survivors because of generous contributions from both individuals and corporations. Please join me as I seek to give back to COPS for all they have given me and my family!
