I am training to run the GW Parkway Classic 10 Miler on April 22nd and raising money to support Arlingtonians Meet Emergency Needs.
On April 10, I will be taking up the challenge of running the GW Classic Parkway 10 Miler. Over the next 2 months, I am participating in the Train for Ten and Help AMEN program that will help me prepare for the 10 mile race and help me raise important funds for Arlingtonians Meeting Emergency Needs (AMEN).
The Train for Ten team is raising vital funds for our Arlington neighbors in need. AMEN has provides same-day emergency financial assistance to Arlington residents who experience sudden financial crises that make it impossible for them to pay their rent, utilities, medical or dental bills, prescriptions costs, transportation needs, or related emergencies. This past year AMEN provided $798, 633 in direct emergency financial assistance to 3,399 families and prevented 622 families from being evicted.
Despite Arlington's affluence nearly 1/3 of Arlington County students receive free or reduced lunches. To qualify a family of four must have an income below $41,348 and a family of 2 below $34,281. Many of our Arlington neighbors are struggling to make ends meet.
I am hoping to raise $X for AMEN's work and hope I can count on your support. Your donation keeps countless families warm, safe, and at home.
