Eli & Nathan will be running their 1st marathon in SF on 6/16/13 & will be bringing awareness towards the "Support The Kid For Cancer" 501c3
Eli and Nathan both ran their first 1/2 marathon on December 4th, 2012 and after completing it they both agreed that the next challenge would be a whole marathon. Nathan motivated Eli by sharing that it would be a huge check mark towards the ultimate bucket list of life.
Eli fought stage three testicular cancer in 1997 and underwent many rounds of chemotherapy, including a stem cell transplant, plus surguries to achieve remission. From the experience, Eli connected to many families who were affected with cancer, including children with cancer.
Eli recently discovered a non-profit started by an old friend from high school called "Support The Kid". The mission of the non-profit is to raise and distribute funds to help children fighting cancer. The organization has supported one family per month in 2012 and is hoping to expand to more families in the future. Please visit http://www.supportthekid.org to learn more about them!
So with a cause to close to the hearts of Eli and Nathan, they decided to try to raise funds for Support the Kid as well as awareness towards the non-profit organization.
Please consider donating to the funds today. Eli and Nathan are committed to raising at least $100 per mile of the marathon between them, which would equal 2,620 dollars. Root them on by donating today!
