Eleventh Hour Rescue
A project of The 11th Hour Animal Rescue
Saving homeless dogs from a deadly fate takes not only time, energy and passion but a great deal of money. To ensure that dogs that are adopted are healthy new family members, we provide routine vet care as well as surgery and extensive hospital care when needed. We treat each dog as though they were our very own and provide them the very best in nutrition and living conditions. In addition to our volunteer foster homes, we maintain a "halfway house" kennel so that we, hopefully, do not need to turn away any dog in need simply because a foster home is not immediately available. The kennel can house up to 50 dogs waiting to be fostered or adopted. It requires constant maintenance and upkeep to be sure a healthy environment is maintained. The majority of our manpower is supplied by dedicated volunteers who donate countless hours of time socializing the dogs, organizing and working adoption events, interviewing and meeting prospective adopters, following up on past adoptions and fundraising to keep our efforts going. With each new dog that arrives, the enthusiasm of the volunteers grows and the work begins again to find another of these deserving creatures a new life, a second chance. We will continue our efforts all day, every day...until all the cages are empty.
