EJ HENDERSON YOUTH FOUNDATION

Star Minnesota Viking Linebacker E.J. Henderson has a passion for youth. Growing up, he watched his Dad work with youth in his community and he made it his goal to provide opportunity to urban youth. His Foundation, created in June of 2007 works with urban youth in Minneapolis and St. Paul ages 12-18 to increase academic performance, develop character and social responsibility and promote health and fitness. Academic progess is emphasized and supported through an online program created by Lifetime Learning that centers on math, reading and writing skills. Life skills lessons, guest speakers and mentoring are used to promote character development and social responsibility. Students in the Foundation's program participate in a physical fitness program that concentrates on strength, speed and agility training. Through this three pronged approach, it is our goal to put our students on the road to success.
