Gay Eastman's 2011 Paws and Claws Pet Walk Page

Michael was a 3 week old kitten abandoned in the donation bin outside the front door at Paws and Claws. The staff at the shelter quickly warmed him up and started bottle feeding him. One staff member even volunteered to take him home and feed him around the clock for a few days. I was lucky enough to be able to take over (with the help of another staff member who watch him for a few weeks while I was on vacation) and my life was changed from that point on. This is just one of the many happy endings for these animals we see every day at the shelter. It certainly reinforces why I work to help the organization even after a week of long hours at the office.
