Founded in May 2007, Rebuild A Nation, Inc. strives to provide quality health care services to people in post civil war Sierra Leone in terms of health, education, human rights, women empowerment and child care. Rebuild A Nation, Inc.’s vision is to dispatch large mobile coaches to remote communities and villages in Sierra Leone and eventually to remote areas of other African nations. Rebuild a Nation's areas of interests are family literacy, maternal mortality, HIV/AIDS and infectious disease education.

One in every eight Sierra Leonean women dies giving birth to a child. Most of the women die due to post-partum bleeding, hemorrhage, anaemia, complications from unsafe abortions, ruptured uterus, Eclampsia (which is associated with high blood pressure) and lack of access to health care, cost associated with health care and lack of basic infrastructure and skilled personnel. All of these causes are overwhelmingly treatable.

Rebuild a Nation's current project is a needs assessment in Koinadugu district of Sierra Leone. It has the highest maternal deaths in the world. Rebuild a Nation, Inc. aims to conduct a complete assessment of the mothers’ needs in Sierra Leone and implement a program bridging the gaps in health care service and access. Women and children remain the vulnerable section of this community and nothing is being done to protect their rights to quality health care and other basic necessities like safe water and shelter.
