Providing orthopedic surgical services to patients in developing nations, who ordinarily have no access to the surgical care they need.
Last year I was invited on my first medical mission with Operation Rainbow. The experience was one that changed my life. I always knew that humanitarian work was why I went into my field, and my mission to Pasaje, Ecuador did not disappoint. In 4 days we were able to operate on 50 patients, changing and improving their lives forever.
As a group, we work 12+hour days to help as many as we can during the short time we are there. It is exhausting, but to be a part of this has been the highlight of my professional life.
This year my group is traveling to the Dominican Republic. Operation Rainbow has had a tough year raising funds, causing a hardship on our travel budget in getting our team to the DR.
If any of you can make a tax deductible donation to a wonderful cause that is near to my heart, my appreciation will be infinite.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any contribution you can make!
