Domestic Abuse Partnership Pilot Program

Our new support to the human victims of domestic violence program needs money to do the work that they need us for. When human victims of domestic violence want to leave their abusers, but don't because they are afraid to leave their pets behind, that is where Chevy's Hope steps in. We will temporarily house and care for these animals providing safety for them and peace of mind for their humans. The state of MN passed legislation on Aug 1st of this year to allow animals to be included in orders of protection. We definitely want lawmakers to see what a positive move this was by providing that safe haven while the humans are finding their footing for a new, safe life. We will even provide visits with the family and the pet to ensure that the bond between the family and their pets continues. They are family members, too. We need to have funds in place to be prepared for the calls for help - especially now that the holidays are here, and we are hoping that you can help us in this area. Please consider ANY amount!
