Diane Smith - Walk With Purpose

Every day parents wake up to the reality that their child is seriously ill. Right now as you read this families are enduring difficulty and pain as they watch their loved one fight illness. Habitat for Hope, a Memphis based non-profit comes alongside a family and provides care and support to the whole family.

Money raised will go directly to HFH and will be used to support volunteers to be equipped and mobilized to serve families. Habitat for Hope Volunteers help meet the practical needs of the family. Volunteers walk into the life of the family and care for the whole family.

Habitat for Hope began in 2006 and since then, staff and volunteers have

• Served families from 6 foreign countries and 27 US states, served over 250 families by visiting, praying nd building friendships.
• Lodged over 100 families
• Touched the lives of over 1000 individual patient family members
• Mobilized over 100 volunteers into service through the ministry of HFH
• Spent over 4000 hours inside hospital walls
• Shared the dinner table at HFH over 300 times
• Delivered hundreds of meals to inpatient families
• Lodged 3 families in end of life situations
• Grieved with over 30 families who have had a child die
• Helped pay for funeral and burial costs
• Counseled family members

HFH does not charge families for any of their services and rely 100% on donations. Habitat for Hope does not pay wages to its staff members, instead each staff member individually raises support for his or her salary.
