Buck Up, Buckaroos!

OK, truth be told, our (Pat LaMarche and me, Diane Nilan) friends are mostly a pathetically endowed group when it comes to money. When it comes to ideals, principals, you know, Truth, Justice and the American Way, well, that’s a different story. Our challenge, we’re en the midst of this 5,000-mile trip across the southwestern states, is to, um, raise a bit of money. Wait! Don’t go running for the exit yet.

How do the parties of Big Bucks fund their (questionable, at best) campaigns? You know, the campaigns that have limits on how much individuals can kick in, as not to corrupt the process. They BUNDLE! Sure, slip bucks to one entity that can give big bucks, um, like corporations and foundations, and let them give. Well, if it works for them, it can work for our Babes of Wrath EPIC Journey!

It’s simple. You find 9 (or more) people who are willing to give ONE BUCK (or more) to help HEAR US Inc., our nonprofit organization making this trip possible. One person makes the donation on this special Razoo funding site (which requires a $10 minimum, thus our $10 level).

Your group becomes “investors” in this trip. Some might be interested in following along, reading our Facebook comments, blogs, and enjoying photos and video we’ll post. We’re even working on some interactive stuff. Some might be along our path and want to meet us in person. We’re on this grueling trip for a whole month, encountering all kinds of interesting situations. It will give you a connection not only with the Babes of Wrath, but also with the folks we’re doing this trip for…

…the millions of homeless babies, toddlers, children, youth, and parents of these kids who are invisible and who are desperate for our government and our communities to join hands and help them. We’ve pledged to give them voice and visibility. And that’s what we’ll do with every breath we take.

Pat and I are honored to have this opportunity. We need support—moral as well as financial—from as many friends as we can muster. So, will you invest a BUCK, bundle with 9 or more friends, and toss your support our way? Will you and your friends join us virtually, comment, share, and like your little hearts out?

Let’s show that there are more of us than they think, and when push comes to shove, we can put our money where our mouths are. The buck stops here. A chicken for every pot…well…let’s not get carried away.
