Detroit Artists Market (DAM) provides area artists opportunities to show and sell their work, connecting artists, audiences and collectors
Founded in 1932 to support young artists during the Great Depression, the Detroit Artists Market (DAM) has been a leader in Detroit's contemporary art movement for 80 years. More than 3,300 artists have been shown at DAM through the decades, and today we are one of the most active and engaging galleries in Detroit. With a variety of exhibitions, special events and public programs, DAM brings artists, audiences and collectors together in a welcoming and dynamic space. DAM is free and open to the public, and we rely strongly on art purchases, membership, and contributions to provide this important community resource.
The Detroit Artists Market fosters a vibrant and distinctive artistic community in Detroit and Michigan by promoting, exhibiting and selling the work of emerging and established artists, through educational programming and art exhibitions, and by serving as a resource to all who seek to expand their knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of art.
