Team Running for Cover is running the 2013 Boston Marathon to raise funds to support MFNE's mission of education, prevention and support.
Since its inception in 2006, Running for Cover has raised over $1 million to support MFNE. I am thrilled to be a part of this team for the 2013 Boston Marathon.
Help me cross the finish line by donating to my fundraising efforts. Together we can help reduce the incidents of Melanoma in the New England area.
I started running over 3 1/2 years ago and I haven't looked back. I've done everything from a 5K to a full marathon. And for many of those races I've had an amazing friend, supporter, and run buddy, Heather (Horne) Fraelick. This woman is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life. She's always so positive and upbeat. She has a can-do attitude. And she inspires me to push myself harder and to be the best person I can be. I am in awe of her every day. She truly is one of the best people and an inspiration to not just me, but to everyone she knows. Heather was touched by melanoma about 6 years ago. Her courage to fight this disease, the great doctors and nurses and the support of her family and friends got her through this difficult time. She is a SURVIVOR! And because of her I want to run the Boston Marathon for the Melanoma Foundation of New England in her honor!!!! The melanoma foundation does so many amazing things to educate people about this disease, provide information on prevention, and they also support those who have had to go through treatment.
Again, please help me to hit my fundraising goal. No amount is too small. Please donate what you can. I appreciate all that you can give. And let's try to smash the goal out of the park and really help the Melanoma Foundation so that they can continue to do what they do!
