$25,000 Campaign from now to June 30, 2012 to keep our doors open and to continue serve survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence.

We are experiencing enormous challenges during this time of economic crisis:

  • Our Hotline program, in which we provide emergency crisis services to survivors, has been reduced from 24 hours / 7 days a week to only Mondays through Fridays, from 9am-5pm.
  • In 2010, we’ve managed 125 cases. This past year, it is 225 cases –an 80% increase– in need for our services.
  • Rising costs without an increase in revenue are affecting our operating expenses.

To address these challenges and keep our doors open for the survivors, DAWN and its Board of Directors, have committed to implement a $25,000 campaign from January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2012. We can do it! - especially with your help!

You may wonder why we chose $25,000 as our goal.. it will help us:

  • Increase the Hotline program hours back to 24 hours / 7 days a week.
  • Retain a skilled grant writer to seek new funding sources in providing sustainability and viability of resources to Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, Deaf-Blind survivors.
  • Revamp the fiscal infrastructurte to increase transparency and accountability to our stakeholders.

Join us now to begin the $25,000 campaign early to take advantage of the year end tax deduction! Each current board member has committed to donate generously. We’re also asking YOU as a friend and supporter, to make a generous tax-deductible gift today to DAWN of $500, $250, $100 or a comfortable amount.* Every dollar counts towards safety and hope for our survivors.

More than ever, we need your support.
