The Dakota County 4-H Shooting Sports and Wildlife Management Program provides a comprehensive 4-H youth development program helping kids gain life skills and become competent, caring and responsible citizens. Parent testimonial:

"My son joined this program two years ago after going through the Hunter's Safety Program. I was so impressed with the class and volunteer instructors. When I heard there was more to the program and they had a way to teach my son about shooting safely, we signed up. The leadership team in Dakota County is highly motivated and excellent with kids. They know how to teach safe shooting, inspire kids to get outside, love nature and the world around them, all the while making it fun. It was such a truly enjoyable experience watching my son learn and perfect his shooting as well as participate in the incredible hands-on wildlife programs, that I ended up voluteering to help. My three kids all participate now and it has become a family sport that we can enjoy together. The State Shoot competition in the fall is well organized and a great way to end the year of practice."
