Daf Shevui (Talmud Page of the Week) began Fall 2013. Together, we will learn one daf (page) of Talmud each week.
You may have heard of Daf Yomi--study a page of Talmud a day. As wonderful as this popular endeavor is, the pace is extremely fast, a pace that is difficult for even advanced talmud students to keep up with. So we've decided to slow the pace down a little bit, to chew our proverbial meal a bit longer, to digest more fully and to cover one page of Talmud per week.
Daf Shevui (Talmud Page of the Week) began Fall 2013. Together, we will learn one daf (page) of Talmud each week. This pace will allow us to learn a daf of Talmud in depth weekly while covering a significant amount of material over the course of a year. Each day a portion of the daf, with an explanation, will be sent out by electronically, and serve as the basis for hevrutot and learning communities throughout the world.
Please give generously to the Daf Shevui project. If you are interested in sponsoring Daf Shevui, we invite you to sponsor a day of learning, amud, daf, month or chapter. Your support enables Talmud learning to reach Jews (and even some non-Jews) throughout the world. See the sidebar to donate. You know the power and value of learning every day with the faculty of the Conservative Yeshiva. Please donate now!
