The students of Ms. Crum's Second Grade Class have committed to nightly reading in order to raise funds for classroom technology.
Ms. Crum’s students like to read because:
I like to read informational books because I am a kid who loves information!
I read story books and informational books because they are really interesting. I can memorize the information so that I can know more. Story books are fun to read, especially Geronimo Stilton books. There are new books in the series and you can take trips with Bruce the rat.
I like reading books because there are a lot of interesting books. I like studying different animals.
When I read books, I learn about animals. For example, when I was four, I read a book about manta rays.
It is fun to learn about topics that you do not know about.
When I read, I can learn about things that happened a long time ago.
Fairytales are also very adventurous.
When I don’t know about animals, I can get a book and find out about them.
I like to read funny books because I learn new jokes.
Captain Underpants books are one of my favorites. When somebody snaps his fingers, Mr. Krupp turns into Captain Underpants. When the principal gets water on his head, he turns back into mean old Mr. Krupp.
I love reading because it makes me happy.
