Operation Walk Pittsburgh needs your help to grant the wish to walk to those in need!
Can you imagine working every day in constant pain? How would you feel if you had to miss out on special experiences with loved ones? What if you couldn't do something as simple as walking down the stairs?
These are questions I started to ask myself when I joined the AMD3 Foundation and started to meet all of our patients who have severe hip or knee pain from arthritis and other joint conditions.
Each individual's story is unique and equally as moving - from those who are unable to play with their grandchildren to those who have to give up jobs that they love because of their physical agony.
In developing countries, it is incredibly expensive to receive a joint replacement surgery so it is difficult for many to afford this care. Dr. Tony DiGioia started Operation Walk Pittsburgh in 2008 and with a team of highly skilled and generous medical professionals has granted the wish to walk and touched the lives of hundreds of these patients and families.
This summer, our team will travel to Honduras to grant this wish again. In a week's time, we will complete around 60 free surgeries, teach in-country medical professionals the latest in hip and knee surgical care and perform other important humanitarian efforts (working with a local orphanage and more).
Please join me in walking it forward and help us give someone a new life! Your donation will make a difference to some of the most grateful and selfless people on the planet.
Operation Walk Pittsburgh, our patients and families, and I all thank you for your generous gift!
**All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of what you give will go directly to helping a patient in need - not to administrative fees.
