COPS Walk 2012
Emilio Miyares fundraising for CONCERNS OF POLICE SURVIVORS
My life was changed on November 6, 1986 when my father, Emilio F. Miyares, Hialeah (FL) Police Officer, was killed in the line of duty. Since that day, I became a member of the organization called Concerns of Police Survivors, C.O.P.S., who honors me and my family. I have attended National Police week ever since that following year as well as various retreats, which help me meet new friends who could relate to my life. This year I will complete my 100-mile walk for C.O.P.S.
I'm currently the Southeast Region Trustee for National C.O.P.S. I am also the Treausurer for the South Florida C.O.P.S. Chapter. These positions have allowed me to give back to an organization, which has benefited me and my family for the past 26 years. I hope you can continue to help me thank C.O.P.S. by sponsoring me as I prepare to walk 25 miles. Thank You for your generous donations!
