I'm raising money to build a pedestrian bridge in Nicaragua that will connect a community to vital resources.
Continental Crossings is a group of seven students from the University of Iowa (including myself) who are building a pedestrian bridge in Jucuapa Occidental, Nicaragua.
Our bridge will help approximately 200 people. During the rainy season the river swells to an impassable level, isolating the village from vital resources for weeks at a time. Community members have died from treatable sicknesses because they were unable to get to a hospital; students miss too much school to pursue a secondary education; familes can't get to the markets to buy food. Our bridge will fix all of these issues, but we need your help!
Since donations go to our partner organization (Bridges to Prosperity), they are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt with your donation. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. If you cannot donate, please help spread the word about our mission.

Many thanks for your support -- and please consider forwarding this to anyone who you think might want to donate or may just be interested.
