Our mission is to use the skill sets and resources that have been entrusted to us to "balance the scales of justice" by defending the weak.

Our primary focus is in the nation of Zimbabwe and in the areas of health and education. Due to a number of factors, both the health and education sectors have seen serious decline in the country over the last ten years. With nearly 25% of the population HIV positive, the current life expectancy for women is 34 years! This has resulted in an orphan population of over 1.2 million children. Many of these children are being raised by elderly grandmothers or the eldest child (most often a teenager) as both parents have died. This has put huge stress on Zimbabwe's infrastructure.

Project Compassionate Hands

The Zimbabwean health sector is in complete disarray. While many doctors and nurses have left the country in search of paying jobs, there are a remnant that have remained behind out of principle. Their dilemma is that without medical supplies to heal people, their hospitals and clinics have become nothing more than hospices helping people die with some dignity. It is the mission of Compassionate Justice Intl. to "strengthen the hand" of these health professionals by sending over desperately needed medical supplies. We recently shipped a 40' container full of supplies and equipment worth over $550,000. This was to establish a medical clinic that will serve 4,000 orphans and function as a base of operations for portable medical clinics serving the rural areas. The supplies were also used to restock a number of rural medical clinics. All of our supplies go directly to medical organizations run by Zimbabweans that we have a personal relationship with. This insures that everything we send over goes to helping save lives. Our warehouse is filling up with more supplies and we hope to send another container over in early 2011. We could use your help with the cost of shipping which is $15,000.

Project Aspire

In 2010, we launched this project in an effort to strengthen the hands of educators in Zimbabwe who are trying to teach a generation of children without books and supplies. All across the nation there are children sitting in classrooms on wooden benches and the only teaching tool the teacher has is a chalk board. In October of 2010 we will ship over the first of a number of 40' containers packed full of textbooks, library books, teaching aids and school supplies. In a nation that values education these supplies are invaluable. In order to insure that these supplies are preserved and well maintained, we have devised a plan to purchase the 40' shipping containers, and convert them into libraries. Each container will be sent over with shelving, dropped at a local school and converted there. We certainly could use your help! Each container to purchase, ship and drop at a school will cost us $20,000. Given the fact that each container will hold over $500,000 in donated books and supplies, we think that's is a great investment.

Please consider helping us, strengthen the hands of those on the ground trying to make a difference.
