To help raise money for CRI, a rowing community that has many outreach programs.

My name is Maayan Landy, I am 15 years old and row on the CRI girls varsity team. I started rowing the spring of 2011 and it has been my passion ever since.

This fundraiser is to raise money for Community Rowing Inc, also known as CRI. I am on the girls varsity team there and we are doing an ergathon fundraiser to raise money to help buy equipment, scholarships and much more. On January 26th the whole boathouse will participate in the "ergathon". The girls youth team will be doing a 10k on the rowing machine, or erg.

CRI's logo is "rowing for all", a statement that the boathouse prides itself on. It has many programs for all types of people. I am on the girls varsity team but there is also a girls novice team, and of course boys varsity and novice teams. Along with that there are competitive masters teams. Not only that but there are also programs for veterans, disabled people of all ages, and a program for inner city kids to leave their community and open an opportunity to rowing. Community Rowing provides a place to row for all and to many who would otherwise never have the chance to join the amazing and inspiring sport.
