Enter your team for my 3-on-3 charitable basketball tournament at the Kaiserman JCC on November 4th, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm.
Hi Friends and Family!
Many of you know how much I like to play basketball! So when it was time to come up with a mitzvah project for my upcoming Bar Mitzvah, it was an obvious choice for me to find a charity having to to with basketball! My parents found the website for PeacePlayers International, and I have decided to try to raise $1,800 to support them.
Early bird bonus! Be the first four teams to sign up and earn a bye in the first round!
PeacePlayers international was founded on the premise that "children who play together can learn to live together." This non profit uses basketball to bring children in divided communities together. They operate in South Africa, Northern Ireland, and Cyprus, but I have chosen to support their mission in Israel and the West Bank.
They bring Arab and Jewish kids together to play on mixed basketball teams, and this integration helps form lasting friendships. I think it is a great cause, and I hope you will help me reach my goal of $1,800!
If you are a 6th or 7th grader, form a team of 3, and come out to the JCC on November 4th from 2 - 4 PM. Please register your team with me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tournament rules will be explained in detail at the event. Bring your friends to watch! There will be food, prizes, and games and a surprise appearance!
If you need me to help you become part of a team, just let me know at email@example.com
I am asking for a donation of $18 per each player.
