Your membership will keep us performing, traveling to communities, rehearsing, and defending neighborhoods around the world!

You might want to give to us if you see that we are unique and effective in our activism. We continue to make new music, perform in public space, amplify under-discussed issues and translate consumerism to consumers!

Last year we became engrossed in mountaintop removal resistance, with our signature mountain sculptures - using the soil from Appalachian mountains damaged by the coal companies - in bank lobbies. Chase made us an issue in their negotiations before pulling out of financing the deadly practice. This historic moment came after decades of struggle, but we were a factor. The Appalachian activists approached us purposefully and we responded.

We have brought our rituals and culture jamming to the Ethiopian coffee with Starbucks, the defense of communities from Wal-mart, the clear-cutting of boreal forests of Vicki's Secret catalogues... We are associated with successes in our activism for Coney Island, for Union Square - our joyous gospel version of the 1st Amendment has been heard by many thousands.

We have no office, our overhead is just skyscrapers. We're not like any other progressive organization we know of - even the ones we love. The punch line here: Your activist dollar goes a LONG WAY with us.

Blessed be the people who encourage me to give me money away to support community-based healing alternatives to the dominant paradigmatic metanarrative rather than have me spend it at the Halls of Greed & Plunder! Keep up the great work & Keep the Changealujah!

Twenty years ago, I decided not to raise my children with Santa Claus. My entire family turned their back on me and my children. I have suffered financially for this and other related decisions. God told me to do this. Now that my children are grown, I know beyond doubt my obedience to God has reaped rewards shopaholics could NEVER fathom, much less receive. Validation from someone who doesn't even know me was a welcome surprise! Keep up the good work.

All we have between us and them are protests and whistleblowers. Sing it loud. Sing it proud.

Is it okay to buy used books? I have a habit. Thanks for the work you guys are doing, especially the three of you: Rev Billy, Savitri, and the little non-shopette on the way. xx oo E.
