Domestic abuse is a pervasive and often overlooked social crisis that poses an immediate threat to the safety and security of at-risk individuals across every demographic and socio-economic status in Arizona. Founded in 1982, the agency continues to provide safety and support to victims, and strives to help all affected by domestic abuse heal and make long-term lifestyle changes necessary to build lives free from violence and coercion. During Fiscal Year 2011-2012, Chrysalis served 1,236 individuals through crisis shelter, transitional housing, victim advocacy, counseling and offender treatment programs.
