Remain a part of your students' lives by becoming a member of CHOSAN's 12: CHOSA alumni pledging $12 per month in 2012 for the children
Hey CHOSA volunteers and friends!
If your experience volunteering for CHOSA's after-school programs was anything like mine, I know that your life was impacted in a profound way by the children of Baphumulele and Emasithandane Children's Homes. The inquisitiveness, perseverance, and joy of each of the children inspires me to this day, and I'm sure you miss the kids you taught (and learned so much from) as much as I miss mine!
Returning to the U.S. for school and work, it's easy to feel a bit disconnected from our experience abroad in South Africa, even more so as the years pass. Everyone wants to continue to help, to remain in the lives of these precious children, but may not know how. That's why we at CHOSA have created a new campaign just for you - CHOSAN's 12 - which is catered to the tightly-squeezed budgets of students and young professionals. For the remainder of 2012, we are reaching out to our valued alumni to pledge $12 per month (that's just $3 per week!) to contribute to CHOSA's important work in the lives of South Africa's children.
It is our hope to invite volunteers into an ongoing relationship with CHOSA, which is why we began CHOSAN's 11 last year - it enables those of us still studying and beginning careers to make affordable monthly contributions that would grow to match each year ($13 in 2013, etc.) We would love your support in this effort!
CHOSA was founded on the principle that "a lot of littles makes a big," and by coming together and giving what we can, we can remain an important part of our children's lives, even an ocean away.
