A Note from a Victim of Domestic Violence

I remember calling the hotline and hanging up feeling embarrassed to reveal my deep dark secret about my abusive relationship. My marriage was abusive for 10 years and I always thought that bad because we had a beautiful house, beautiful children and nobody had to know--right....

Anyway, I will always be forever grateful and thankful to all the counselors and to CHILD, Inc. But mostly to Sarah's House for giving me the support and caring that I needed to get through such a traumatic time of my life.

I was all alone, abused, betrayed and abandoned by my husband. I was homeless in October and spent all of the holidays without anyone--but Sarah's House. And for that I am forever grateful. Thank you so much!
