By sponsoring a child you will insure that your child will continue to have an education. Your sponsorship will cover school fees, uniforms, books, school supplies, nutrition, and anything else needed to help your child be nurtured and grow. You will receive updates on your child 2 times a year. Once you commit to a child you will receive more pictures of them. You and your child will be able to write back and forth and grow in relationship.

Awake and Alive takes many trips to Kechene, Ethiopia so you will be able to send small gifts with us for your sponsor child. Because we take trips and teams to Ethiopia you will have the opportunity to be on one of those teams. (A trip to Ethiopia is not included in your sponsorship, but because of your commitment to your child we will be more then happy to have you on a team of ours, and you will receive priority when applications come in.) During a visit to Kechene you will get to see where your child lives and spend a lot of time with them during the school day.

Our vision for this sponsorship program is that the community here in the States can build a deep and meaningful relationship with the community of Kechene.
