Dutch and I are raising funds to go work with the 200+ orphans at Lifesong for Orphans ministry in Zambia, Africa at the end of September.
Through our own adoption of two international orphans, Melissa and I know we are to advocate for the remaining 150 million that do not have a forever family. I have had the huge blessing of partnering with Lifesong for Orphans at their international orphan care ministries to act as an Educational contributor.
Each of their locations is attempting to address the physical, spiritual, and educational needs of some of the most at risk orphans and children on the planet. Dutch and I went to their ministry in Honduras in June to work with their teachers and students.
Through a Rotary grant, Lifesong's orphan care ministry in Zambia was recently able to purchase and install a learning lab for their 200+ current orphans. I was able to project manage this from afar, but it is now time to put our feet on the ground, build relationships, do a needs assessment, and begin helping their teachers develop a good implementation plan for this new learning lab.
Education in a region like this, especially for an orphan, can be the difference between lifelong abject poverty or being productive, supporting a family, and getting out of the cycle of hopelessness.
Please help us in our endeavor to change the story of the orphans of Zambia.
