Centropa in Israeli schools

In two years, we’ve expanded from four schools to twenty-five. Why? Here’s what Daphna Haran, a teacher in Haifa said, “Centropa isn’t just Holocaust education. We love your programs because this is Jewish history in Central Europe—told through personal stories my students love.” In 2010 we spent $15,707 to begin in Israel. In late 2011, the Education Ministry agreed to help us expand into more schools. We need $65,000 per year to hire a teacher-coordinator, and offer Israeli teachers financial stipends (which they badly need) to write lesson plans for us—and share with other teachers.
