Our Story

Holy Rosary Church created Centro Guadalupano in 2000 in response to a sizeable and urgent need arising from the large influx of immigrant individuals of south Minneapolis. Since then, our organization has evolved to provide an array of services designed to support both new and established residents in improving their quality of life through education, youth programming, and direct assistance.

More than 1,000 individuals and families of all ethnic and religious backgrounds obtain help from Centro Guadalupano each year. Our reputation for treating each person with dignity, respect and compassion makes us the first place many choose to seek out help. Our dedicated staff, established location, and high level of word of mouth promotion all contribute to our ability to access people difficult for other providers to reach. The result is a vital link to the community, and one that represents hope for its future.
