Support The Catalyst Project's commitment to racial justice.
Please join me in supporting the critically important work of The Catalyst Project.
As I hope you know, I've been teaching and training and writing about race equity for over 30 years now (yes, I have been around a block or two). I've had the privilege of working with many outstanding people over this period of time. Included in this fabulous group are the people at The Catalyst Project, who provide some of the very best anti-racist training for young people in the country. Catalyst also places people in the middle of important race equity struggles -- from providing support in the aftermath of Katrina to organizing in Arizona around the assault on immigrants to protesting the NATO summit -- you'll find Catalyst on the front lines of all kinds of thoughtful and intentional work aimed at creating racial justice.
The young people who lead Catalyst and the young people who benefit from it are laying the groundwork for the next stage of our social justice movement. That this movement will be grounded and led by people with a strong anti-racist analysis and commitment gives me great hope for our future (and those of you who know me well know that hopefulness is not a particular strength of mine).
I have agreed to serve on their fundraising team this year and want to close out the year with a proverbial bang. Please help me raise $2000 for this outstanding organization in the last 5 days of this year by helping me reach this goal. We have a donor who will match you dollar for dollar, which means your gift will pack twice the proverbial punch (I seem to be loving the proverbs today).
