The Foundation provides key support to the college and a vital financial lifeline to students in need through scholarships, grants, & loans.
A top transfer college for the University of Washington, University of Washington Bothell, and Seattle University, among others, Cascadia Community College delivers rigorous, learner-centered education to every student and prepares them well for the challenges of four-year colleges and universities. And with your help, the Cascadia Community College Foundation is putting that education in reach for our next generation of leaders.
Alum Erik Byland (’10) knows firsthand the impact that the Foundation can make in the lives of students. The oldest of five brothers, Erik would have had a tough time affording college without assistance from the Foundation. That's why he was so grateful for the scholarship that helped make the first two years of his education so affordable. Now at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business where he’s pursuing a degree in finance, he remains a steadfast supporter of Cascadia and the CCC Foundation.
“I must say that I so miss Cascadia. I am a fan of the small school benefits and system established there. I encourage all of my friends to attend Cascadia first as it has been a wonderful transition for me! And I am so grateful for the financial support from the Foundation. I tell everyone to apply for scholarships!”

Through a focus on active learning and environmentally sensitive, globally aware, and technologically advanced education, Cascadia also prepares students to enter (or re-enter) the workplace with hands-on, practical experience working with real world issues and technology.
The Environmental Technology and Sustainable Practices (ETSP) program is a great example. Through both certificate and associate degree programs, the ETSP program gives laid off workers access to state of the art technology, giving them the tools they need to be marketable in today's challenging economy.
And the CCC Foundation is there to help those students as well!
Through our small grants program, hundreds of bus and parking passes are given out each year to students in our worker retraining programs. Often even these small grants make a huge difference to students who otherwise couldn't afford to get to their classes every day.
Imagine if just the cost of a $110 bus pass stood between you and getting the education that could change your life. How upset would you be if you couldn't complete your education? And how grateful would you be if someone stepped in to help?
Now imagine if you could change someone's life by funding that pass....
By supporting the CCC Foundation, you CAN change lives.
At Cascadia, both the college and the foundation are committed to strengthening our community and our economy by opening doors to success for our students. Exceptional learning resources unique among community colleges -- like access to the University of Washington’s world-class university library and 58 acres of restored wetlands -- also provide the tools to support every student in reaching for the stars!
Help us build a better future for our students, their families, and the community we all share. Give to the CCC Foundation!
