Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that is not life threatening, but is life altering. It is not contagious. You can't catch it and it does not hurt. It is almost like your body is allergic to hair, which causes it to fall out.

CAP is the only nonprofit devoted specifically to children living with this incurable autoimmune hair loss disease, Alopecia.

We want to build self-esteem, provide support and raise awareness. It's that simple!

We don't compete but compliment other organizations because we are helping children today to become stronger teens and hopefully productive adults and the future advocates for all things alopecia.

CAP is the only 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Charity devoted specifically to children with alopecia local, regionally, nationally and internationally.

We have kids and their families registered from all United States and at our website www.ChildrensAlopeciaProject.org.

We are also proud that out of over 750,000,000 people and organizations on Facebook, CAP has the largest number of fans on a page and in a cause dealing with Alopecia. (and counting!)
