SCORES after-school programs empower Boston's youth to lead healthier lives through physical fitness, creative writing and service learning.
I am thrilled to be running the Boston Marathon for America SCORES Boston! I only started running five years ago, after I moved to Boston, and through running I have been able to inspire change in both myself and others.
I have a family connection to America SCORES Boston, and have heard about how the organization has changed lives first hand; it is truly an amazing organization.
The after-school programs combine soccer leagues, creative writing, performance, and community service projects for Boston Public School 3rd-8th grade students.
The goal of America SCORES Boston is to reduce childhood obesity, promote literacy and engaged learning, foster creative expression, and create community leaders. SCORES serves over 1,500 Boston youth, of which 90% are low-income and more than 50% speak English as their second language.
Please help me finish my first Boston Marathon by donating to America SCORES Boston - your donations will help me get over Heartbreak Hill and change the lives of many children!
P.S. I have also raised $800 offline too - so if you are more comfortable sending a check you can make checks payable to America SCORES Boston and put my name in the memo portion of the check.
Thank you so much for your support!
