Donations made will help me go to a Young Life camp in the Dominican Republic to work there for a week to help get it ready for this summer!
Young Life has made a profound impact on my life. Going into high school I wasn't involved in church, and quite honestly I didn't really care. During my sophomore year I began going to Young Life with a few friends of mine. It was a ton of fun and I made some great friends because of it. Not only that, but I really began to learn about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. During my junior year I went to weekend camp at Sharptop Cove in Jasper, GA. That weekend at that Young Life camp, I gave my life to Jesus. This past summer I did work crew at a Young Life camp called Southwind down in Florida. I got to see what made summer camp possible for all of these kids so that they could have the best week of their lives. It is so important to have all of the dirty work done before the kids get there so that they can just spend a week not worrying about anything and just having fun. That is why I want to go serve for a week at Pico Escondido in the Dominican Republic over spring break- to help make it possible for these kids to have fun and hear the Gospel.
