Funds go to Hiring an Executive Director and Publication of a Report on the Violation of Human Rights of Youth in Residential Care.
Finally the time has come! A chance for folks to meet and talk with Community Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Youth (CAFETY) members, many of whom have directly experienced inhumane or disempowering care while in residential placement, and to learn about the healing experiences taking place as our members transform their narrative of trauma into tools of empowerment, advocacy and change.
You will hear about the issues CAFETY addresses, all in the elegant setting of the Yale Club. You will be provided with tasty hoers de'ourves and bar service, while graciously dropping a bit of money in the coffers of CAFETY - a largely volunteer run organization... though hopefully not for long!
CAFETY acknowledges with gratitude the donation of 30 signed prints by influential contemporary artist, Jim Hodges. All proceed will go towards supporting CAFETY's work. Price of the print is $2,000. Pre-publication price of $1,500 with RSVP before November 12th.
The estimated fair market value for attending this event is $60 per person. As CAFETY is a 501(c)(3) organization, any donation above this amount is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. For more information or questions about this event, please email Brian Neff at neff@cafety.org
