The students of Ms. Burns' First Grade Class have committed to nightly reading in order to raise funds for classroom technology.

The students in Ms. Burns’ class love to read. They shared the different feelings they experienced when they read books.

  • Reading books make me feel happy because I like the characters, adventures and the risks the characters take.
  • Reading books makes me feel happy because I love reading so much and I read everyday.
  • Reading makes me feel good. Even though I have seen the movie, I want to read the book to see if the same thing happens in the book.
  • Reading can make me feel both sad and happy. It depends on what is happening in the book.
  • I get excited when I read a book because after I’ve been reading a really long book that I like, I am excited when I’m almost finished.
  • It’s fun to read because there are so many good books.
  • Reading makes me feel super because there are some really funny parts.
  • Reading makes me feel happy because I love reading books that are funny.
  • Reading makes me feel relaxed because when my mom reads to me before bed, I fall asleep.
  • Reading a book makes me feel busy. It keeps me busy reading.
