Back to School shopping is a big chore and expense for your family. Now imagine getting seventy-five children ready!

SOS Children’s Villages – Florida is counting on the help of the community to do exactly that. Together we can provide the foster children who live at SOS with the tools and support they need to succeed in school this year. Funds raised will provide school clothes, shoes, supplies and dollars for school activities this year.

What does “Back to School & Ready” mean to the children living at SOS today? It means Jenna can pick out her first new set of school clothes, Rena will have the money to buy her textbook for advanced classes, Nicco will have supplies for his science project, Trevor can buy equipment to join the football team, Jayla will have a school picture to hang in her SOS home and so much more.

The annual “Back to School & Ready” campaign laid the academic foundation that encouraged SOS Alumnus Guynette to earn her bachelor’s degree this past spring. Determined to continue setting an example for her siblings, she is focusing on getting a good job and completing her master’s degree. She will be the third SOS Alumnus to reach this level of education.

Five SOS teens also graduated from high school this past spring. For the fourth year in a row, all new SOS graduates are continuing their education at college or trade school.
