I am riding a bike across the USA for fun and to raise money for Carolina for Kibera! The first $25,000 is matched by a donor!
For some silly reason I decided to ride a bike across the USA. I think this is about a point in time in my life where I have the time. I really do like riding (the cadence and the time outdoors). It is also something about my youth, my main source of transporatation until I was 19 was a bike.
The ride group meets in Santa Barbara on September 14th and we finish the ride in Charleston, South Carolina on October 24th. It it catererd so we have a van with the group and we are staying in hotels along the way.
As part of this journey, I am also hoping to raise money for an amazing organization Carolina for Kibera, a program Kyle and I have worked with for the past 5 years and I am currently serving on the board. Any donation you might wish to make would be greatly appreciated. I started by asking for $26 because that is the amount of money it took to start the process to build the medical clinic that CFK runs in Kibera today. You see it does not take much to make a change.
To get started a special donor has encouraged me to take the ride and has set a $25,000 matching grant! So lets use all of this matching grant up!
