United Way of West Central Minnesota is dedicated to helping our area youth succeed through focusing on education. United Way believes that preparing children for kindergarten and having at risk youth participate in safe out of school programs will help our community today and for the future. It is because of our focus on youth today and preparing them for tomorrow that donors like Julie believe in United Way.
"Hi, my name is Julie Asmus. I am a past board member for United Way and a current volunteer, donor and advocate. After being involved with United Way and Empower, I started to understand how much United Way really does. I saw my contributions making a difference in the lives of my friends, family, neighbors, children and people I work with. I started to understand that the money I donate is managed responsibly and stays in our community to help causes I care about. I realized, "When you get it, you give" and "When you give, you get it back". You get it back tenfold in the impact LIVING UNITED has on our community and the future of our children."
