Darla and her 5 year old son spent 54 days in a homeless shelter when she enrolled in college. Is wasn't easy at all. Just months earlier she had been in her job of three years making $40,000 annually before the office closed. She had missed financial aid deadlines and was referred to the foundation office. "I would not of been able to stay in school but the Random Acts of Kindness fund bought my accounting book". Darla is an "A" student of accounting at CLC and works 35 hours a week and still finds time to volunteer to help others. She says the foundation aid and the community have been amazing help.
Please consider helping the many other "Darla's" we have on campus. Many students struggle to stay in college due to short funds. Emergency needs arise and a crisis can be avoided with our scholarships and Random Acts of Kindness. Be part of opening doors of the future by investing in students today!
