Missions Trip to Mexico

Dear Family & Friends,

I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy and enjoying all this life has to offer.Today is the day the Lord has made, let’s rejoice and be glad in it!

Many of you know I set out two years ago to Montana to pursue God’s calling on my life (photojournalism), and while journalism school has been a long and arduous process, I have found great joy in being a photojournalist. It’s really and truly what I was made to do, and nothing is more wonderful than coming alive in your calling.

Now that school is almost over, I am excited to begin preparing for the next adventure God has in store for me: Guadalajara, Mexico! It’s been on my heart for years to do mission work and to serve others in that capacity, and I really have just felt the Lord calling my heart to Latin America in the past six months. Now, I’ve been offered the incredible opportunity to go serve with New Frontiers churches in Guadalajara and its outskirts from October-December, and I’m thrilled to be able to go.

Seeing people touched by the love and grace of God is a huge desire of my heart, and having the opportunity to make His wonderful name and love known to another nation is just beyond incredible; I’m excited to see all that God has planned for this season!

While I’m abroad, in addition to serving the local church, I will be creating multimedia videos about the work these local churches are doing through their ministries such as the orphanages and the church plants in towns just outside Guadalajara.The missionaries will then be able to use the work I create to share their vision, heart and ministry with their home churches, and help those churches better visualize the work they are supporting.

I’m so excited to use my giftings and passion to serve others in such a tangible way, and to be able to grow in my faith along the way. It is my prayer that you would join me on this adventure in God, and be a part of this ministry as well.Your prayers, encouragement and support are going to be what makes it possible for me to follow God’s leading, and I look forward to partnering with you in this.

My financial support needs for this trip fall around $2,500.This will cover my airfare, health insurance, room/board and allow me to have money to bless the local church with. It will also help cover some of the costs of equipment needed to effectively produce the multimedia work I have been asked to do while I am there.As we both know,missions work is not a singular effort,but a joining together of the body of Christ to bring Jesus to the nations, and I would be honored to have you join me in this pursuit.
