In August of this year, my mom, Bryan (my step dad) and I will set off to La Cieba, Honduras, Central America. As members of Freedom Life Christian Center in Christiana, Pennsylvania we will join a team to help support ROC Ministries, Casa orphanage and school. Freedom Life missionaries, Matt and Marianne Spangler serve this ministry on-site.
Here is where we come in...our Youth Team will leave Sunday, August 4 to Saturday, August 11 and the Adult Team will leave Sunday, August 12 to Saturday, August 18. Teams will complete building projects, children's ministry at the orphanage and school and neighborhood, such as VBS and a visit to the children's hospital to feed children and do crafts with them; the men may also help with the young men's soccer outreach league.
My mom and Bryan currently serve on the Usher/Greeter team and we, as a family, serve on the Cafe Team together at Freedom Life Christian Center here in Christiana. I also serve as part of the OT Youth Group and work with the children. I made my first Mission trip last year to Boston and the year before Bryan helped build a church in the Dominican Republic. Together, we hope to reach the needs in La Cieba. We understand there are many imperative needs in the world that require your financial support; however, we hope you will consider partnering with us as we seek to spread the love of God to La Cieba's youth. As of today, together as a family, we need to raise a grand total of $3,600 by July 4, 2012. Thank you for your time, prayer, and generosity.
