Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is the only statewide organization dedicated to strategically expanding mentoring to meet the needs of youth across Massachusetts.

There are thousands of young people within the 10 largest urban communities living both in single-parent households and in poverty. Over 50% of youth in Massachusetts who drop out of high school come from low income families. Mentoring has significant positive effects on the two early indicators of high school drop outs -- high absenteeism and recurring behavior problems.

MMP provides training and technical assistance to over 190 mentoring programs across the Commonwealth to ensure they run in accordance with professional standards.

MMP provides this training and guidance to Family Service Inc (FSI) of Lawrence. I have been actively volunteering for Family Service for more than 17 years. FSI mentoring programs include Big Friends Little Friends, GRAD, AIM and Stand and Deliver.
