Mentoring has been a positive experience for me just as much as it has been for my mentee. I first met Jahmire in 2010 when I officially became a member of the Big Brother Big Sister Association. From that point there was no looking back. Like most adolescent boys Jahmir who is now 11, is full of energy and has a great care free attitude about him. The thing I apprecaite most about being a mentor is seeing how Jahmir is not bothered by the little things in life and is happy simply with what he has. A lesson that I think all of us could learn from.
